Initial IT have provided IT services to our business for a number of years, however in light of the current situation with regards to COVID 19 Initial IT have proved to be invaluable. Our staff moved to working from home very quickly and easily and the service provided by Initial IT has not faultered. Would highly recommend.

Premium Sales first engaged the services of Initial IT for a premises move. I am pleased to say that this was a seamless process headed up by the Owner of the business, Andy. Completed out of normal working office hours, we were able to enjoy no disruption or down time whatsoever. Andy liaised with ourselves and the telecommunications provider to ensure all bases were covered. We also use Initial IT for our general maintenance and cyber security. There is a whole range of different products available when looking at Microsoft 365  (previously known as Office 365). At Initial IT we usually advise customers on four different product which we feel offers our customers the best range of services without over-complicating the decision.

Products

MS 365 Mailbox Only

MS 365 Mailbox Only is typically the most basic MS 365 service we sell. It provides the customer with the email component of the MS 365 suite. The mailbox is fully featured and contains a calendar, contacts and tasks, but no software or other services. Connecting to the mailbox can be done via office.com or by using a compatible mail client, No Office Software is included.

MS 365 Business Basic
MS 365 Business Basic includes everything from the MS 365 Mailbox only package and adds more services. This includes Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint. It doesn’t have the office suite available for installation on your computer, but it does include the web based versions of the Office Suite.
MS 365 Business standard​
MS 365 Business standard is by far the most popular of all the products. Most of our customers use it. It contains all the services that MS 365 Business Basic includes but adds the full Office Suite to the product, allowing you to download and install Office to your computer. You can install Office on up to 5 computers as long as they are all used by you. The Office Suite can be installed to both Windows and Apple computers.
MS 365 Business Premium
MS 365 Business Premium is the top product and used by companies that want an extra layer of security to protect their organisation. This product contains everything that MS 365 Business Standard has but adds Intune and Azure Information Protection. These services help to protect your MS 365 organisation from attack and stops unwanted data leaking out of your organisation.

Service Descriptions

The information below is a further breakdown of each of the services listed above
Exchange Online Mailbox
A feature-rich business-class Exchange mailbox with a storage limit of 50 GB. Providing the ability to send and receive email from your business domain. The mailbox can be accessed from a web page, mobile device, tablet or a computer. Services like calendaring allow you to manage your diary and book meetings with customers. A contact lists and a task list.
Teams

Teams is the replacement for a Microsoft service known as Skype or Skype for Business. It allows you to host online meetings and video calls for up to 300 people at the same time. These people can be internal, external or a mixture of both. Teams chat feature can be used to communicate with your team whether you are in the Office, at home or on the road. Teams can be accessed from a web page, mobile device, tablet or a computer. Create a Team site to share information, content and files via the internet. Allowing real-time collaboration, whether you are in the same room or different countries.
Teams can also operate as a fully functioning phone system. There is no longer any need to have a phone sat on your desk which you then need to divert when your not in the Office. Teams has a mobile app, a full desktop app and a web app. Meaning you are always connected where ever you are. Here are a few of the features you can expect when using Teams as a phone system

OneDrive for Business
OneDrive for Business is a personal area for file storage and sharing. Providing you with  1 TB of storage. Changes in documents can be instantly shared to both internal employees and external people the moment you click save on a file. Keep your data in-sync across different devices. OneDrive can be accessed from a web page, mobile device, tablet or a computer. Share a file with an external customer or supplier so you can work on the same file at the same time. OneDrive allows multiple people to edit a document at the same time.
SharePoint Online
SharePoint Online is a shared area for file storage and sharing. Starting with 1 TB of SharePoint storage. Changes in documents can be instantly shared to both internal employees and external people the moment you click save on a file. Multiple devices can be used to look at and manage the same data. SharePoint Online can be accessed from a web page, mobile device, tablet or a computer. Share a file with an external customer or supplier so you can work on the same file at the same time.
Outlook Web App
A web-based version of Outlook allows you to log in and view your email, calendar and task list from any internet-connected computer, mobile device or tablet. No software is required on your device to access this data. The information you see is the same as the data you see in Outlook. Though the application features available are limited when compared to the full version of Outlook.
Office Web Apps (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
A web-based version of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, you can access these products from any internet-connected computer, mobile device or tablet. No software is required on your device to access this data. Though the application features available are limited when compared to the full Office Suite
Microsoft Office Applications
The Microsoft Office Applications are local installed to your computer and automatically updated. They are the core of most businesses, the powerful Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, OneNote, (Access and Publisher are also available but only on a Windows device). The product allows you to download and install Office to your computer, mobile device and tablet. You can install Office on up to 5 computers as long as they are all used by you. Applications can be installed to both Windows and Apple Mac devices.

Intune
Configure and manage security features on your computer, tablet and mobile device, ensuring your organisation is secure and protected from the latest threats. Automatically install Office 365 apps to your computer.
Azure Information Protection
Apply security policies to data and email, across your organisation to ensure that critical business data is not be leaked out of the organisation. Data and email can be categorised using different labels which will determine how they are protected ranging from no protection up to encrypting the file so only authorised people can view it.
